Eppert Piano Studio Teaching Philosophy

Eppert Piano Studio’s teaching philosophy is simple… No talent required. The joy of music is for everyone!

Our philosophy of teaching is for all, not just the ‘talented’ few, has stood the test of time. Every person has within them the ability to play a musical instrument and play it well enough to receive enjoyment and fulfillment with the experience. Our studio’s job is to bring out each person’s innate abilities, while making piano fun.

Our approach is creative, personalized and immersive!

We work with every student on playing their music with expression. This gives the student a positive way to express emotions. Think about how much fun it is to play a loud, fast part of the piece and then contrast it with the quiet, gentler part of the piece. Playing piano allows the student’s soul and feelings to be expressed in a positive manner!

Central Indiana Piano Teachers Community & Workshops

Being active in the piano community has helped to make the Eppert Piano Studio the premiere studio that it is. It is vitally important for piano teachers to keep up with the latest information and research available. Are you a local piano teacher? Why not attend meeting and workshop with Sally & Rachel?

We are active in Indiana Piano Teachers Guild. We meet the 2nd Monday of the month, Sept-May. We’d love to have you as a guest! Find information about joining and meetings here:  https://www.indianapianoteacher.org

We are also active in Indianapolis Piano Teachers Association. We meet the 1st Friday of the month, Sept-April. Let us know if you’d like to join us!

Sally is also active in the Indiana Music Teachers Assoc. We have an excellent 2-day conference at a different university in Indiana each fall.  https://indmta.org/

“Sally has taught all three of my kids piano. Her unique classroom approach allows the kids to learn in a fun environment while progressing very quickly.”

As Fishers Indiana piano teachers, teaching and performing piano are Sally and Rachel’s passions. Many Eppert Piano Studio students have won or placed at various local piano contests and won music scholarship over the years. Additionally, we have the notoriety of the most studio participants in the National Piano Guild Auditions that occurs each June! Several of our students have gone on to major in music at Indiana University, Eastman School of Music and University of Indianapolis.

Our premier music program involves the whole family in the joy of their children’s musical learning by inviting a parent to come into class the last 10 minutes for sharing time and help with the daily practice at home.

Additionally, Eppert Piano Studio has two annual studio recitals with all students participating. There are other performance opportunities as each student progresses. Learn more about our recitals.

What Sets Eppert Piano Studio Apart From The Rest?

LONGEVITY. EXPERTISE. EDUCATION.

Eppert Piano Studio has over 35 years of teaching small groups and private piano lessons in the Fishers and Carmel Indiana area. Along with two college degrees in piano and a natural ability to connect with students of all ages, we are the go-to piano studio for area Hamilton County families.

Both Sally & Rachel have had the privilege of seeing many of their students stay with piano lessons from kindergarten through senior year of high school. Many have gone on to major in music as well during their collegiate years. Seeing children progress through the years makes teaching rewarding and fun!

Eppert Piano Studio strongly believes in presenting a balanced repertoire, by including progressive technique, music theory and performance opportunities.
